Hirsh Singh is the Republican candidate with the strongest war chest in NJ-02, boasting just over $109,000 in receipts as of the end of the 1st Quarter according to the Federal Election Commission (FEC) website as of Tuesday afternoon, Save Jerseyans; the Indian American millennial businessman had $82,554.98 cash on hand.

$45,000 of his receipts came from loans; the campaign raised $64,347.

In fact, he may be the only Republican candidate with a war chest.

Engineer Fitzherbert — who is no longer on the ballot after losing a petition battle — raised $14,743.44 and burned through around $10,000.00.

An FEC website search for Singh’s three remaining GOP primary opponents on the June ballot — former Assemblyman Sam Fiocchi, attorney and activist Seth Grossman, and former FBI Agent Robert Turkavage — turned up a ‘no data available’ messages, possibly indicating that they’ve raised under the $5,000.00 reporting threshold at which point federal candidates are required to file a “Statement of Candidacy.’

Singh can likely dip deeper if the need arises.
